Kids alive do the five:
1. Fence the pool
2. Shut the gate
3. Teach your kids to swim – it’s great
4. Supervise – watch your mate and
5. Learn how to resuscitate
….and ensure the water safety patrol is on duty!
Oh kewl! We’ll feel much safer with mates like that watching out for us!
The girls would like to join the patrol when we come to stay. They have just started training: Miss V just went running to put her swimmers in her suitcase, Miss J is now swimming around the house with her goggles on and Miss F is blowing bubbles in a bowl full of water.

Great advice Megan. We have just inherited a pool in our new house. Our kids are good in the water, but one of us is always out there with them.
