The economy of the world may look very bleak for some. The practical affects upon those we network with daily are loss of jobs, loss of houses, loss of self esteem and a downward spiral into despair and dependency. My heart goes out to them and my mind screams for them to discover the power of positive thinking to keep their mental well being in tact.

I have watched the fear and reality creep through the blogosphere. It has concerned me. I have spoken to friends and family in the United States who have wondered how long it would be before the citizens begin revolting and the country reaches a state of anarchy or simply implodes.

I do not buy into fear thinking nor do I concentrate on poverty, doom and gloom. I look for solutions and I visualise a better way of life…for everyone. My business and my therapy skills are also built around this belief. I give and I share because I believe in abundance…of everything. To put peanut butter on bread you have to spread it. So too with positivity: spread it and it comes back to you.

Today while visiting Funkie Mommy, I could have just cried. Her positive bent on a dreadful situation filled me with a sense of sister ship. I do not know Funkie Mommy but I know her in the blogosphere and I care what happens to her and her family. I care that they are in a bad situation but I care more that she could still see the silver lining in the tankless water heater. That is where you can immediately help.

Many years ago, I was left with a stinging sexually transmitted debt. I lost everything after my ex husband declared himself bankrupt. Rather than declare myself bankrupt, I opted to pay off the bankruptcy. Even after I remarried, I religiously repaid the debts that my ex husband defaulted on (they were left to me because they were marriage debt in both names). I kept my contract with the bank because I believe in integrity and responsibility. Most importantly, my friends believed in me and they supported me with encouragement and praise for never losing site of my goal. Their contributions of emotional helping were far more valuable than any amounts of money they may have been able to give.

I made my final sexually transmitted debt payment in June last year, only to then be faced with a sickness that robbed my family of regular external husband’s income once again. My husband became very ill and has now been unable to work for several months. Thank goodness for my belief in positivity and my successful home based business. Imaginif I didn’t have that! Thank goodness also for my friends who have listened to me and let me cry my feelings better.

There is an untapped economy of helping that each of we bloggers can partake in. A kind word, a smile, a recognition of humanity. This costs us nothing but brings the other person, the hurting person, riches beyond belief. If you care about your fellow bloggers than I ask you to tell them. Send them a positive message and give them hope and friendship that was not forthcoming in the commercial world of corporate downsizing or stock market crashing.

While the rest of the international business world crumbles, my international business thrives. My colleagues from every corner of the globe are currently in LA, enjoying the abundance that our businesses bring us. Our abundance is a mind set: a mindset of belief, assisting others and helping others to thrive emotionally and financially. It is a system of sharing, non competition and self development. I am very grateful that I am in this business, yet, it does not stop me from spreading a little positivty to those facing the reality of foreclosure, loss of home and impacted self esteem: This is my economy of helping.
