The ear of the universe and the winds of change

The winds of change are a common metaphor for doing things differently. My favourite metaphor movie is Chocolat (2000. Juliette Binoche and the divine Johnny Depp). The north wind tells the main character, French/Mayan born, single mother, Vianne, when and where to move her alluring chocolate making skills to. Darn but that wind blew her to a small French, very traditional Catholic village during lent! Through the making of her magic chocolate, Vianne breaks traditions and innocently heals the souls of hurting people. A wonderful feminist movie of acceptance, inclusion and doing things differently, the movie clearly deals a blow to the control of that which makes us unhappy and instead encourages us to follow the winds of change by listening to our inner desires and songs.
I am a student of change: a student of self development. Even though I have a degree in social communications and self growth, I spend at least half an hour a day working on myself and becoming a product of healthy change. This morning as I sat and reflected on the signs of change, the breeze caught my hair and tickled my face. I was conscious of it. I was conscious of the breeze massaging my arms and blowing confirmation and happiness deep into my soul.
I went to tell the wind that I heard it and that I was indeed already happy. Instead of saying, “I hear you,” I said, “I ear you.”
It hit me like a rocket. The “ear” of the universe is the wind on me. The Universe was listening to me and was responding to my song of deep happiness and gratitude. It heard my oneness with the world and it responded in a way I would hear. It gave me its ear and spoke to me in the wind.
Every time I now feel the breeze on my skin or I see the signs of the wind in the trees, I will remember that the Universe is listening to me. It is giving me its ear and it is waiting to blow the winds of change into my life by giving me all that I ask for.
Ask, Belive, Receive. I “ear” the universe and I send it my thoughts because thoughts become things when the universe listens to your song. I’m singing baby, I’m singing.
Do you hear the Universe? You know that it hears you don’t you. What is your experience of knowing that you are being listened to?
