Mother’s Day child protection baby

On mother’s day, meet my daughter and grandchild: Jade and baby “?” (I know the baby’s name but I can’t tell you yet).
Jade is due to produce our first grandchild in August. There’s a spate of local babies being born to my child protection colleagues so perhaps we are verging on a new breed of young families – those who understand that child protection is serious business and whole of community responsibility. I am pleased that my grand baby will grow up surrounded by friends and peers who recognise how wide reaching child safety is.
I have always been heavier than Jade (and shorter than her from the time she was around 13 years old!!!!) and I cannot ever remember having had the coveted flat stomach that she has been renown for. It didn’t really worry me…until today
Check how little (and flat in the stomach) I look against Jade. Yip Yah, I am in grandmother flat stomach heaven.
Happy Mother’s Day to me and to all of you mothers out there in blogosphere land. If anyone had told me that all I had to do to get a flat stomach was to get my big kids to start having their own babies I would have been encouraging Jade to reproduce from when she first started making the clucky noises.
I got a flat stomach for Mother’s Day (and a gorgeous candle and wooden holder from Master 12). What did you get? For you Grandies out there, here’s a complimentary copy of Grandparent Sense: a 24 page protective play tutorial.
