Managers of community child protection have your say
May 17, 2008
Are you a manager of a community based child protection service? Child protection is such a wide field: sun safety, water safety, poison safety, personal safety, farm safety, private practices (like Imaginif and Birdwing), child care services, play groups, etc. Are you fed up with, or happy with, the skills base of other child protection workers? Which ever your views, please consider having your say by responding to a skills need census for Queensland child protection workers.
The following call to action came via email network:
Calling all Managers of Queensland child protection workers: complete the 2008 Queensland Child Protection Census – web or hard copy or interview available.
Your answers are vital to the future child protection workforce because if you take part the Census will:
- Give the sector a greater understanding of its current capacity and resources and will capture the vast knowledge base and expertise that exists in the Child Protection Sector
- Influence future development of career and education pathways for the Child Protection workforce
- Use your participation for future proofing the Child Protection sector and ensuring a skilled and qualified workforce now and into the future.
Managers - please click here to go to the Child Protection Skills Formation Strategy and complete the survey. If you have a large workforce you may require access to your databases and files.
If you prefer a hard copy to complete, or for further information, please email jwatters@workforce.org.au
All survey responses will be analysed immediately and sector data results will be published as they are created. If you want to be kept in the survey loop as data is gathered, email jwatters@workforce.org.au
Don’t forget to be the change you want on childhood hero day, June 13 2008.
