How to be a positive person

Megan Bayliss, listening to what you have to saySometimes I fall upon words of wisdom that really grab me. My mind then tangles with the words for hours on end as I attempt to analyse, understand and embrace the words into my lifestyle.

This morning as I reread about affirmations (I do at least 1/2 hour self development EVERY day), the following words grabbed me:

Your mind can only entertain one thought at a time.

The potency of those words are this moment being entertained in my mind. My mind is celebrating and thanking my cognitions for finding this one little positive sentence: an affirmation that may well become my mantra.

I often need a simple little pick me up – a bit like a boost juice for the grey matter. Today I found it.

Your mind can only entertain one thought at a time. Make it a positive one and stay a positive person. What are you thinking on today?

Great post on banned words over at Ian’s, Quantum Learning: Top 8 taboo words.  I have a couple of taboo words myself (stupid and idiot head my list). My challenge today is, when I hear my taboo words to change them to a positive thought, rather than cringing and thinking a negative thought like, “Oh no…that’s the word that scares me to death.”

Your mind can only entertain one thought at a time.

Make it a positive one and stay a positive person.

    This is wonderful.

When I add it to something else I read yesterday, that we have an average of 50,000 thoughts a day, then it becomes truly powerful!

Imagine … 50,000 positive every day!

And I’m touched (and honoured) that you linked to my post!

    LOL

Ian you are more than welcome. Your post really spoke to me. I am so pleased that your blog has wide coverage – the non violent message is so important.

Yeah – imaginif 50,000 thoughts were positive. Yeee haw! I am wealthy, I am wealthy, I am wealthy – I declare peace on the world, I declare peace on the world, I declare peace on the world ;)

Here’s an article I wrote about the amount of thoughts we have: Head talk and feeling bad about yourself. Imaginif we continued to think negative things!!!!!!!! Boy oh boy we’d be in trouble.

Thoughts become things so I have quarantined think times where I think affirmations, goals and positive gratitudes.
