Hot flushes or power surges

Yep…I am that age and I am now in that state known as menopause.

Am I hot or am I on fire? Am I having hot flushes or power surges? I am on fire, baby, and I am having power surges.

I am independent and strong woman and I am entering the next phase of my life…a phase of reproducing life for others rather than life for my husband and I.

Just as soon as I cool down a little I’ll get back to doing the boring things like sweeping the floor and folding the washing. In the mean time, get out of my way, please, because I have a mountain to climb, a power to use and a volume of esteem to sprinkle on those who wrongly think they are suffering.

To those women who are struggling with the changes of menopause, consider this: the power within you is creating the power that is in the world. Choose carefully how you wield your inner power. You can talk your self powerless with your hot flushes or you can seize and use your power surges to create a world worth leaving behind for our grandchildren.
