Child protection on Father’s Day

September 8, 2008 by Megan · 3 Comments

In Australia, Father’s Day is celebrated on the first Sunday in September: yesterday.

Pelepa had not yet picked Amelie up because he was scared that he would break her. As an extra special child protection Father’s Day gift to Amelie (and on the eve of Child Protection week too), Pelepa picked Amelie up for the very first time….and he didn’t even hurt her, let alone break her!

Pelepa cuddeling Amelie for the very first time ever.

But………………………, when she cried, he gave her straight back to her mother:

What to do when a baby cries - give it back to its mother!

I love being a grandparent! Happy Father’s Day Pelepa and Mark (Amelie’s Dad).

Grandparent Sense – protecting grand kids is fun.

Hi Anita and Tamara (great to see you again Tamara)
yes, she is adorable and is now growing quickly. We keep offering to have her for a sleep over but her Mum and Dad won’t play ball (yet).
