I’m off to a photo shoot this morning and I feel like a Princess as I pick my clothes (“Wear red,” they said – that’s easy because it is my favorite colour). A local magazine (Cairns Eye) interviewed me yesterday around child protection, web based activities and why I do what I do. Photo shoot is today. In honour of the occasion (aka, I am getting vain in my advancing years) I have had my hair cut (at Reds Salon – fantastic!), coloured RED and temporarily STRAIGHTENED. I LOVE straight hair. Shame it will only last until I wash it (already those pesky ends are beginning to curl up though!!!!).

I am so not a photo shoot type of person but I must admit I have had a ball being interviewed and photographed…and the treatment I got at Reds – oh yes please, I’d like some more of that.
The journo was excellent – she emailed me yesterday to check stats of child sexual abuse and she really attempted to understand the difference between incident and prevalence of child sexual abuse. And…the chief photographer of The Cairns Post that did the photo shoot is the husband of the journo. How romantic is that. They have two little kids and are both very interested in ensuring ongoing child protection and child safety. I think that between the pair of them, the article will be great.
