ANZAC Birthday Carnival
The first birthday edition of the Carnival of Australia is now playing over at Aussie Bloggers. Thanks for hosting Meg and thanks to all the Aussie’s who submitted their blogs.
We’ll be off to an ANZAC parade tomorrow and I hope that many others will as well. In times of global unrest it pays to remember the shocking effects of war and lack of social understanding.
Enjoy your day tomorrow. My eldest two boys are having a sleep over at their grandparents and then going to a dawn service with them. They are very excited about it. I think it is so important for kids to understand issues around social justice and the consequence of lack of social understanding.

Watching the sunrise this morning as we headed off to Stratford for the 7am service was levelling. It was wonderful to cheer on our Diggers and their families too. So many people turned out, and the numbers seem to be ever increasing. I am a proud Australian woman today. I am very thankful that others made enoromous sacrifices for long term peace and democracy.
Let’s do what we can to challenge injustice and oppression. Lest we forget….
